QuestGains ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the QuestGains mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address and authentication credentials (via Firebase Auth, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In)
• Username and hero class selection
• Workout logs, exercise records, sets, reps, and weight entries
• Body weight and nutrition data you choose to enter
• Quest completions, XP history, and streak data

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Push notification token (only if you grant permission)
• App usage patterns (features used, screens visited) for improving the app
• Crash logs and error reports via Firebase Crashlytics

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and sync data across devices
• To calculate XP, track quests, and power all app features
• To send push notifications you've opted into (reminders, milestones)
• To process subscription payments via Apple In-App Purchase
• To diagnose bugs and improve app performance
• To respond to support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

Subscriptions & Payments

QuestGains Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not collect, store, or process your payment card information. All billing is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Terms of Service.

Subscription details, renewal dates, and cancellation are managed through your Apple ID in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting) — subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or safety
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred with notice provided

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

To delete your account and all associated data, use the "Delete Account" option in the app's account settings, or contact us at support@questgains.app.

Children's Privacy

QuestGains is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at support@questgains.app.

Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules for database access, and secure authentication tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@questgains.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
